💰 Credits & Billing

How do credits work?

1 credit = $0.01 USD. Videos cost approximately $3.50 per minute of generated content.

Credits are deducted when you submit a job. If the job fails, you receive an automatic partial refund based on the work completed.

What if my video fails?

You receive a partial refund based on completed work. For example:

  • Job fails at 50% complete → ~50% refund
  • Job fails during image generation → refund for remaining phases
  • Job fails immediately → full refund

Refunds are automatic and instant. You'll receive an email notification.

Can I get a full refund?

Credit purchases are non-refundable, but you'll never lose credits to failed jobs. Our fair billing system ensures you only pay for work that was completed successfully.

Why was I charged more/less than estimated?

Estimates are based on script length and selected options. Actual costs may vary slightly due to:

  • Voice generation complexity
  • Number of images generated
  • Video assembly duration

We include a small buffer in estimates to avoid unexpected charges. Any unused credits from the buffer are refunded.

🎬 Video Generation

How long does video generation take?

Processing time depends on video length:

  • 12-minute video: ~30-45 minutes
  • 30-minute video: ~1-1.5 hours
  • 60-minute video: ~2-3 hours
  • 120-minute video: ~4-6 hours

You'll receive an email when your video is ready.

What's the maximum video length?

Unlimited! We've successfully tested videos up to 120 minutes. Longer videos work but take proportionally more time and credits.

For very long videos, we recommend splitting into parts (e.g., Part 1, Part 2) for better audience retention.

What if the worker crashes?

Jobs automatically recover. When the worker restarts, it:

  1. Detects incomplete jobs
  2. Validates existing progress
  3. Resumes from the last checkpoint
  4. Sends you an email notification

No action needed on your part — your video will continue generating.

Can I cancel a running job?

Currently, jobs cannot be cancelled once submitted. However, if you need to stop a job urgently, contact support and we can manually intervene.

Remember: you'll receive a partial refund for any work not completed.

Why is my job stuck in "processing"?

Long videos can take several hours. Before contacting support:

  • Check your email for any failure notifications
  • View the job details page for current phase
  • Allow 3+ hours for 60-minute videos

If your job has been stuck for 6+ hours without progress, contact support.

🎭 Characters

Can I create custom characters?

Yes — that's the whole point of WorkLess.

Upload a reference image (PNG/JPG/WebP, square 1024×1024 recommended), add a description, and optionally upload up to 4 additional reference angles. WorkLess trains an AI character on YOUR brand and uses it consistently across every video you generate.

Unlike Synthesia or HeyGen, your character isn't a stock avatar — it's yours.

Can characters cover different topics?

Yes! Characters can create content across multiple niches:

  • Finance, investing, cryptocurrency
  • Psychology, self-improvement
  • Education, tutorials
  • Technology, business

The character maintains consistent voice and personality while adapting to the topic.

What's the difference between characters?

Each character has unique:

  • Voice: Distinct TTS voice and speaking style
  • Visual style: Consistent look and feel
  • Personality: How information is presented

This consistency helps build audience recognition across your videos.

👤 Account & Support

How do I change my password?

Go to Account → Security and click "Change Password".

You'll need to enter your current password and choose a new one.

How do I contact support?

Include your:

  • Account email
  • Job ID (if applicable)
  • Description of the issue

We typically respond within 24 hours.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Email support@workless.build with "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line.

Note: Remaining credits cannot be refunded upon deletion.
